How great would it be to wake up in the morning and have your eyebrows already good to go?

With henna, you can temporarily tint your eyebrows in a painless and all-natural way so they’re shaped every morning, with no need for pencils or powders. It’s also a really great way to trial a shape before you commit to semi-permanent tattooing. The service only recently launched into Ireland, but henna dye has been used for thousands of years for body art and temporary tattoos

What are henna brows?

Henna brows are a form of eyebrow tinting that is used to colour the brow as well as stain the skin beneath the hair. The purpose of this is to cast a shadow or create an illusion of depth and fullness in the area, visually filling in any sparseness.

Henna is a natural dye made from the shrub ‘Lawsinia Inermis’ which grows in a hot dry climate. The leaves of the shrub are dried and ground into powder, forming henna.

Henna has been around since ancient Egyptian times when it was used for many purposes such as dyeing hair, clothes, fabrics and as make up.

The process for henna brows is very similar to henna colouring methods you may see in traditional Indian culture, however the shades have been formulated to cater for eyebrow tones

Quality is Key

We receive a lot of questions about allergies. Many other brands often add cheap synthetic ingredients and high percentages of PPD to their products, and these ingredients can often cause reactions. However, these are NOT processed in Brow Tycoon!

Our formula is exclusive to us in Europe and cannot be copied. We have the safest eyebrow henna in the UK and Ireland professional market and all our products are 100% EU compliant.

The Henna Brow Process

The henna brow process is generally quick and easy, with the treatment taking no more than about 40 minutes to complete.

Brows are sculpted into the clients preferred shape using a combination of shaping techniques, before a suitable shade of henna is chosen. Our henna can be custom blended to ensure a perfect colour match for your client.
Henna powder and demineralised water are mixed together
to create a paste, which is then applied through the shape
of your eyebrows and allowed to soak into the skin for
about 20 minutes.

How do henna brows compare to other temporary tintings?

Brow Tycoon henna is a safe and natural alternative to tints and dyes. Our products are free from ammonia and hydrogen peroxide making them a suitable option for anyone with sensitive skin.

Jennifer Swaine, proprietor of Leeson Beauty Lounge in Dublin says, “We find most clients prefer the henna brows to traditional tinting as the henna is a natural product and generally produces longer lasting results. It’s also perfect for clients who want better definition to their eyebrows but are perhaps not quite ready to tackle cosmetic tattooing or microblading.”

How long do henna brows last and how do you maintain them?

The results of henna brows typically last between 2-4 weeks on the skin and up to 6 weeks on the hair. However, results are dependent on your skin type and aftercare. If you have a dryer complexion, henna brows will tend to last a bit longer than they would on someone with an oily complexion.

Brow Tycoon Henna works best on clients with healthy skin. Therefore, clients with skin conditions such as psoriasis, dermatitis and eczema will mean the results may not last as long.

To maintain them for as long as possible, it is important to not over-wash your face. We also recommend that you use the Brow Tycoon Wonder Oil which is a castor oil that will condition and protect the brow to help them last longer.
